CREATE A WHITE COLLAR FRAUD CASE having as many different infringements of white collar crimes as you can in one scenario. For example: In a criminal case of a bank robbery the criminals also speed while making their get away from the robbery and they kidnap a bank guard in the process. So now you have three crimes in one: the bank robbery, the speeding vehicle, and kidnapping.
THE RULES:
- So only one crime in your hypothetical fraud, but have it infringe on more than one white collar crime statute.
- No more than 300 words in your description of the case...tops.
- It should be totally fictional, although you can base it off a real case if you find something of interest through research, BUT NOT THE ACTUAL COLLEGE ADMISSIONS SCANDAL or ANY REAL OR FICTIONAL CASE DEALING WITH A COLLEGE MATTER.
THE GRADING RUBRIC:
- I figure that you should be able to get at least 4 crimes in a single case of fraud. So you will want to be sure to at least get that many, if you can. Your creativity will be graded here as you will want to be realistically plausible with your story. [This part is worth 40% of the score.]
- Be sure to explain or make it apparent in your creative description that the elements of the crimes have been met. In other words, you want to make sure that you show me you know what those elements of the frauds in your scenario are. You can either spell them out or have your creative description make it apparent, but still no more than 300 words!! [This part is worth 60% of the score.]
- You also need to tell me what crimes were violated in your scenario by listing those after your scenario. So the list of infringements is not part of your 300 word limit.
BONUS POINTS: 100 bonus points to the student with the most infringements in the answer. In the event of a tie, then the 100 points will be split amongst all the winners.
