select 2 positions to build out your orientation, training, and development programs. You can use a current organization, or any organization you are interested in. Your orientation, training and development guidelines should include but not necessarily be limited to the sections outlined below.

Orientation Create an Orientation Checklist that outlines all areas of the organization that must be reviewed with all new employees during the first week of employment with the organization.

Training For each position, using the Systems Approach, design a Training Program. Your training program should include as a minimum the following:

Needs assessment

Program design

o Consideration should be given to: instructional objectives, employee readiness, trainer, principles of learning

Training methods to be utilized

How/when will you evaluate if the training was effective

Development Outline a Development Program that your organization will implement to allow all employees (management and subordinates) to grow and develop in their work on a regular basis.
