Creating a Character and a Theatrical Scene Objective: Cre.ate an original character and develop a brief scene about any social problem. In addition, you will accompany your writing with images that represent your character, the costume and the setting where the action takes place. Instructions: 1. Creating a character: Choose a type of character (it can be heroic, comic, dramatic, villainous, etc.). Wri.te a description of the character, including: Name. Age. Occupation. Dreams and fears. Personality and physical features. 2. Designing the costume: Draw or find images of a costume that reflects your character's personality. Think about the colors, styles of clothing and accessories that he or she would wear. Why does that costume identify your character? 3. Theatrical scene (1-2 pa.ges): Wri.te a brief scene where your character interacts with others (they can be invented characters or classmates). The scene must have: A clear conflict (can be internal or with another character). Dialogue (at least 10 lines). Movement instructions or physical expressions of the characters. 4. Set design: Draw or find images of the place where the scene takes place. It can be a realistic or imaginary space. Consider the objects and colors that would help tell the story. 5. Reflection: Combine your text with the images of the costumes and the setting. Explain why you chose that costume and how the set design reinforces the conflict of the scene. Points to evaluate: Creativity in the creation of the character and his/her costume. Clarity in the writing of the conflict and the dialogue of the scene. Coherence between the written scene and the supporting images (costumes and setting).
