Configure RIP
Configure RIP ONLY via the command line
1. Setup the following network topology in Packet Tracer.
2. Configure the PCs and the routers with network information based on their networks. To configure the routers, use the CLI rather than through the GUI.
- Router0: Fa0/010.0.0.1/8 Serial 192.168.0.1/24 with clock rate of 64000
- Router1: Fa0/020.0.0.1/8 Serial 192.168.0.2/24 Serial 192.168.1.1/24 with clock rate of 64000
- Router3: configure both the Fast Ethernet and Serial connections as you did for Routers (0 & 1)
3. All the configuration is complete, attempt to send a message from PC0 to PC5. It should not be successful as RIP has not been applied.
4. We will now apply RIP to Router0 via the command line.
5. Now repeat the same procedure for Router 1 and Router 3
6. Now that RIP is enabled on all the routers, send a packet from PC0 to PC5.
