Watch the YouTube video, That Used To Be Us: How America lost its way and how we nd our way back 12' ; It is a speech by Thomas Friedman, co-author of the book "That Used To Be Us.'I He addresses America's economic challenges and how we might change the system in order to maintain/restore America's greatness. The rst 15 minutes of the video is introduction... so you can drag the bar to the right until you get to about 14 minutes 50 seconds. The speech ends at 52 minutes and then proceeds to a Q&A format for the rest of the time. So the speech itself is only about 37 minutes. Post on this discussion what your "took away" from Friedman's speech. What did he say that "struck a nerve" with you? Was there something he said that you agreed strongly with, or something that you disagreed strongly with? Maybe you've had some of the same thoughts about the U5. economy/culture that Friedman's has.
