The following is my response to the same question: Have you ever reported to more then one manager? What were the challenges of such a situation?
I have reported to more than one manager in the past. Which I must admit that it was a very awkward situation. One of the main challenges what's the power struggle between the two managers. This made expressing my opinion very difficult especially since one of the managers was very resistant to welcoming new changing methods. Although adopting new ideas and making changes was very essential to the company in order to keep up with competition, finding the right balance to be respectful and assertive between the two managers was extremely hard.
