In our math curriculum, we utilize exit tickets. These exit tickets provide consistent and ongoing data that provides immediate feedback of student understanding, application, and mastery of concepts. I use the exit ticket to immediately pull those students struggling into a small group for specific instruction to enhance understanding.

"Ethical data professionals never intentionally bias data, manipulate meaning, or otherwise influence interpretationthey present data as accurately and objectively as possible" (nces.ed.gov) to drive instruction to best meet the needs of students. Without this ethical implication, the rights of students to an education are not protected. A teacher's code of ethics in the forms of honesty and integrity drive the teacher to provide equal and equitable opportunities of learning for each student according to their specific needs and skill level.
