Objectives:

1. To be updated with the latest trends in international trade across the global economy.
2. Analyze and apply economic principles and policies.
3. Critically evaluate the international trade policies of a country.

DESCRIPTION

Choose a country other than any GCC countries including Saudi Arabia and write a briefing paper on the following:

1. Describe the country, its economy, its resources, trading partners and the impact of the globalization on the country’s prosperity.
2. List the top 10 – exports and imports made by the country?
3. What are the major goods for which the country has comparative advantage?
4. What are the tariff rates (on at least 2 products) imposed by the country? Give details on it?
5. What are the nontariff barriers imposed by the country? Give details on it?
6. What are international trade issues and challenges the country has been facing recently? What is the future outlook of the country?
