Describe a fictional study in which you would use an ANCOVA design. Note that the data should be as such that the null hypothesis that the categorial predictor (factor) does not influence the response variable once controlled for the continuous predictor should be rejected (alpha=0.05). Describe the rationale for the need of an ANCOVA in the context of your specific problem. Then generate a data set following your fictional study, including the units in which each variable was measured (e.g., cm, ml, m, l, etc). You can either generate data using R or you can simply makeup data directly into a CSV file. No need to have the code for how you generated the data. However, if you do generate data in R, the data need to be saved in the CSV format that is then loaded in R for running the analyses (i.e., the script has to upload the data). Report all the necessary statistical assessments to make sure that your data fit the ANCOVA requirements. Report results and provide a small interpretation in line with your fictional example.
