Description
In this pre-assignment, each student will create a list of "stakeholders" relevant to the team-based project topic: Gender Equality and research questions: 1. What is the difference between gender equality and womens empowerment? 2. Is gender equality a concern for men? 3. How does ones culture affect gender equality (could be global)?
Stakeholders are broadly defined as a person with an interest or concern in something--a broader category than "shareholder," often used in business. Stakeholders are those who may be affected by or have an effect on an effort. They may also include people who have a strong interest in the effort for academic, philosophical, or political reasons, even though they and their families, friends, and associates are not directly affected by it.
For this assignment, you should generate a broad list of stakeholders who have a strong interest in your topic area or research questions.
Assignment Guidelines
Each student should submit a Word .doc listing categories of stakeholders (ex. citizen groups, paper companies, NGOs) and examples of specific stakeholders within each category (ex. Dunder-Mifflin Paper Co., Michael Scott Paper Co.). Your assignment should include at least 5 categories of stakeholders and 2 examples under each category.
We will use these stakeholder lists to study stakeholder analysis during our Wednesday class and each team will have an opportunity to collaborate on the group assignment, a stakeholder analysis document.
