PLEASE INCLUDE NUMBERS USED IN THE MICROSOFT EXCEL SPREADSHEET

Microsoft Excel (MS-Excel) is a spreadsheet software which is a useful tool for handling a collection of numbers arranged in the form of two-dimensional array, i.e., rows and columns of numbers. As we mentioned in the class that an image is a collection of pixels each of which is associated with a value (for binary image and gray-level image) or three values (for color image). In this homework assignment, you are required to complete the following two questions in MS-Excel.

Questions

  1. (45 points) Create an array of size 10 rows by 10 columns (or larger) in MS-Excel spreadsheet to represent a binary image. A binary image indicates that each pixel value is either 0 (black) or 1 (white). You can use the following provided grids to design any image pattern, such as a flower, a character, etc., by filling each cell with either black or white. Once you complete your design, you can transfer your design to MS-Excel spreadsheet by assigning black cells as 0 and white cells as 1.

(45 points) Create an array of size 10 rows by 10 columns (or larger) in MS-Excel spreadsheet to represent a gray-level image (a.k.a. intensity image). A gray-level image indicates that each pixel value is between 0 (black) and 255 (white). You can design any image pattern as gray-level image. Save your MS-Excel file as HW02b.xlsx or HW02b.xls and take a screenshot of the image pattern
