Background

The project schedule model is created in the Develop Schedule process and is used to analyze$/$adjust$/$confirm the sequencing of activities, the activity durations, resource requirements, activity costs, and any schedule constraints leading to an approved project schedule for project execution, monitoring, and control. The output of the Develop Schedule Process is the approved baseline schedule.

Assignment Prompt

In this assignment, your group will use the three$-$point estimating technique $($see PMBOK Guide, $6$th ed$.,$ section $6\mathrm{.}4\mathrm{.}2\mathrm{.}4)$ to estimate the duration of the project activities. You will also identify resources and the cost of each project activity $($i$.$e$.,$ at the work package level$)$ and input this information into your project schedule outline $($using one of the group member's assignments from Week $6).$ Using an Excel spreadsheet to document the three$-$point estimating technique, estimate the duration for your activities. Input this information $($i$.$e$.,$ a single duration estimate, rounded to a whole number of days$),$ activity cost, and resource information into your MS Project file to create a schedule model.
