Designing a Rule Base

In this activity, you will configure a set of basic rules for packet filtering for a network with the following characteristics: The internal network is represented by 192.168.120.0; the firewall is hosted at 192.168.120.1; the e-mail server is at 192.168.120.2; the Web server is at 192.168.120.3; and the DNS server is at 192.168.120.4. This 6-5 activity can also be found on pages 228-229 of your text. Create a rule that allows internal hosts to access the external network. Create a rule that prevents any access to the firewall. Create a rule that allows internal and external access to the e-mail server and Web server. Create a rule that allows internal access to the DNS server. Answer the following question: what rule involving the firewall could you add? In MS Word, list the rules (1-4) that you have created and include your answer from #5.
