The goal of this project is to design an induction orientation program for new employees hired as part of the Graduate Development program for trainees at TAM Development LLC, a project management and consultancy services provider based in Saudi Arabia.

Your mentor at TAM is going to be Ms. Kholoud Bin Hassan, the People Manager at the organization.

1: Needs Assessment

Provide a brief introduction to the organization, including its vision and mission statements, business strategy and culture.

1. Conduct a needs assessment through the use of either interviews or a questionnaire and try to collect information from at least two stakeholders at TAM (include copies of the questionnaire and/or interview questions along with results in the appendix of the report). Please ensure that you cover at least two of the Needs Assessment Stages covered in the course (As a reminder, the stages consist of business needs; performance needs; learning needs and learner needs).
2. Provide information about the organizations needs regarding the training, clearly highlighting the purpose for the training and any organizational and training goals and objectives.
3. Identify the group or individuals who will receive the training (try and get an estimate of the number of trainees; the tasks they will be working on; level of familiarity with the organization; learning styles etc.)

2: Training Design and Development

4. Based on the results of the Needs Assessment, develop at least four learning outcomes for the training program incorporating the following building blocks: audience, behavior and condition. Remember the importance of action verbs and their linkage with what you expect trainees to do. Describe each outcome in detailed sentences and paragraphs. Explain each outcome as it relates to the organizational goals of TAM.
5. Design your training using ATDs ROPES instructional design model that we covered in class. Remember that ROPES stands for: Review, Overview, Presentation, Exercise and Summary.
6. Within this section, remember to link your design to at least three adult learning principles that we covered in class. Clearly explain how they are being achieved through your training design.
7. Try to design the training to be as creative as possible, while aligning with the culture of the organization. Remember the characteristics of your audience.
8. Determine program format, length of training, and method of delivery. What will be the costs, and what resources will be needed from the organization?
9. Design at least four questions that you can ask participants, and ensure that they cover the F-O-I-D Model of Questioning. A reminder that F-O-I-D stands for Fact, Opinion, Importance, and Doing.
10. Describe what will be included in the program materials and activities. Consider communication tools, modules, learning aids, and assessment/evaluation tools.
11. Give specifics on how you will implement and deliver training. Include any train-the-trainer; pilots and plans for training.

Note: It is extremely important that this phase of your project takes into consideration the requirements at TAM. Please ensure that all elements of your training designcomply with TAMs requirements and processes.

3: Evaluation

In this section, you will develop a post-training evaluation plan. Evaluation is necessary for determining the overall effectiveness of a training program.

12. Describe in detail how you will evaluate this training in terms of effectiveness. Please refer to the four levels of evaluation as specified by Kirkpatricks model (reaction of learners, learning, behavior and results) and justify your choice.
13. Make sure you link your evaluation to the learning objectives of the training that you created in Phase 2 as well as the needs analysis conducted in Phase 1.
