Determining specifically what maintenance services you require from an outside vendor is complicated, in part, because:

it is difficult to define what, specifically, needs to be done as we often outsource because we lack the necessary expertise to perform the given task

service providers are generally dishonest and will try and sell you services you don't require

the seasonal nature of much of our maintenance needs
