Develop a system for a business. (Apple)

I. Pick a business. Explain the business and its strategy. The business will be your choice, real or imaginary. Perform internal (capabilities, competences) and external (industry) analysis. Explain or define its mission, vision, targets etc.

II. Describe the IT department. Tell about its resources, capabilities, strengths and weaknesses. Develop an IT strategy (with short-, medium- and long-term targets). Make sure that it aligns with the business strategy. i.e., it supports the business strategy; it helps the business to reach its targets.

III. Explain processes supported by the IT department. Typical processes include sales, customer support, production, procurement, reservation etc. Pick one and draw both workflow and data flow diagrams (DFDs).

IV. Explain ways to improve the process you picked through reengineering and new technologies.

Minimum requirements: 1,000 words + 5 references + 1 Level-1 diagram per person.
