Task Overview

This part of the project requires you to develop personal health and wellbeing management strategies and implement them. Specifically, you are required to:

  • Develop a personal health and mental wellbeing plan
  • Conduct a meeting with relevant personnel to share strategy
  • Implement personal health and mental wellbeing plan

Resources Required:

To complete this project, you will need access to the following:

  • A workplace that will allow you access to:
  • Meeting Minutes template
  • Two personnel relevant to personal health and wellbeing

Relevant personnel can be Work Health and Safety officers, workplace therapists, etc.

  • Organisational resources on personal health and wellbeing

Organisational resources can be the organisational structure for WHS officers, recreational activities, recreational spaces, etc.

Task 2.1 Develop Personal Health and Wellbeing Plan

ASSESSMENT INSTRUCTIONS
  1. Access your personal work schedule containing the tasks you are assigned and the days on which you must do them.

Examples of personal work schedule documents are timesheet, project tracker, etc.

  1. Review the following documents:
    • Health and Wellbeing Analysis from Task 1.1
    • Research Log from Task 1.2
  2. Locate the Personal Health and Wellbeing Plan template provided within this workbook.
  3. Complete the Personal Health and Wellbeing Plan by identifying the following:
  4. At least one strategy on how to manage each of the following:
  • Physical health
  • Mental health

Strategies must be based on the completed Health and Wellbeing Analysis and Research Log.

  1. Activities, specifically:
  • At least one physical health activity
  • At least one mental wellbeing activity

The activities must help manage your physical health and mental wellbeing. They must align accordingly with each relevant strategy.

  1. Key Performance Indicators
  • At least one KPI for each of the following:
  • Physical health activity
  • Mental wellbeing activity

Key Performance Indicators must be written using SMART criteria. These refer to KPIs that are Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, and Timely.

  1. Organisational resource required to carry out each of the physical health and mental wellbeing activity

  1. Expected date of implementation of each activity
  2. Expected outcome of each activity

You must leave the actual date and actual outcome columns blank. These will be completed in Task 2.3.

  1. Competing Demands
  • At least one competing demand for each physical health activity
  • At least one competing demand for each mental wellbeing activity

Competing demands are workplace activities with schedules that can conflict with the physical health and mental wellbeing activities identified.

These must be based on the work tasks included in the personal schedule reviewed in Step 1.

  1. Timeframe for each of the physical health and mental wellbeing activities and their respective competing demands

To create the timeframe, do the following:

  • Write the activity to be done and its competing demand
  • Identify the amount of time dedicated to the activity

For example, fourweeks from Monday to Sunday.

  • Shade when the corresponding dates of the activity and its competing demand are going to happen

Make sure the activity and its competing demand do not conflict with each other.

  1. Monitoring Plan for the activities and their documents

Identify the following for the physical health activity and its KPI:

  • At least one process for monitoring the documents used to record the physical health activity
  • At least two procedures to complete the process
  • The document to access for monitoring

It must be the document used to record the physical health activity, e.g., weight tracker

  • Frequency for accessing the document

This may include, but is not limited to, the following:

  • Daily
  • Weekly

Identify the following for the mental wellbeing activity and its KPI:

  • At least one process for monitoring the documents used to record the mental wellbeing activity
  • At least two procedures to complete the process
  • The document to access for monitoring

It must be the document used to record the mental wellbeing activity, e.g., mood tracker

  • Frequency for accessing the document

This may include, but is not limited to, the following:

  • Daily
  • Weekly
  • Monthly

This will be used in Task 3.2, wherein you will be monitoring your implementation of the physical health and mental wellbeing activities.

  1. Have your supervisor approve your Personal Health and Wellbeing Plan. Have them sign the declaration at the end of the template to confirm approval. Their signature must be handwritten.
  2. Submit the following to your assessor:
    • Completed Monitoring Plan
    • Completed Personal Health and Wellbeing Plan
