Devitt's Scientific Realism has been refuted by Carnap's anti-realist arguments. But, since constructive empiricism is incompatible with Carnap's anti-realist arguments, the only tenable form of anti-realism is pluralism, which implies that there's nothing more to scientific truth than a pragmatic choice of which language to speak. But if that's all there is to scientific truth, then science is pointless. So, it follows that science is pointless.
