Discuss differences with of the 2 examples below and offer additional thoughts on why these differences exist.

When considering project management principles, the vast majorities of project management models follow the plan, execute, and control method. I think the most critical of project stages is the plan. (Duncan, 1993) When planning a project, the goal is to develop a system that makes your project goals attainable. The execution of a project is simply the implementation of your project plan. Lastly, the controlling process measures the projects progression and is the opportunity to take the necessary steps to correcting project issues. Project also is where we began the project closure process. These processes occur at all levels of the enterprise, in many different forms, and under many different names. For example, planning is a constant, not a onetime event (Duncan, 1993) and will be recurring throughout your project. As project manager the ability to properly plan a project is just one of the attributes needed to successful manage a project to completion. The project manger plays a critical role in managing charter elements such as initial risk, assumptions, and change control. As a project manager, the level of leadership, organizational, and communication skills determines whether the projects outcome is timely and successful versus off-schedule and considerably a failure.

The critical path for project mangers is focusing on the key tasks in completing a project on time. This also maximizes the chances of delays in the project schedules as well as any problems that need to be fixed on the way. Having job activities in sequence with each helps the project manager through the critical period. (Reh, John, 2019). They also work with all team members in completing the project by assigning certain jobs to each person. In our previous assignment, Hightower management was working on a project to develop a sales intranet for their sales associates. There were many steps they worked on such as budget, project roll-out dates, project risks, and closure as well as project activities. All theses tasks played a major critical factor in making the project become a success.
