Stakeholder management is one of the key functions of operations management in my industry. Reputation is vital for our growth and it is important to build a healthy and collaborative relationship with general contractors and project owners. Since we are a subcontractor it is imperative that we satisfy our customers needs because general contractors and project owners make a choice based on contract price and relationship with that subcontractor. If we have a negative impact on a project, chances are we will not be awarded the next project with that general contractor.
