For this Discussion Board Post, please (i) visit an online newspaper (such as the Inquirer, NYTimes, WSJ, Boston Globe, SF Chronicle, etc., though feel free to visit any other local or national newspaper) and find a current article (published in the last 24 months) that reports on an event that involves, or might involve, a tort suit (see this articleLinks to an external site. as an example), (ii) at least TWELEVE sentences (a) summarizing, in your own words, the event identified in the news article (including the who, what, when, where behind the event), (b) identifying the parties involved in the tort action, (c) identifying the tort(s) involved, (d) providing a definition of the tort(s) involved, (e) explaining how the event qualifies as (in other words, is an example of) the particular tort (TIP: connect the conduct to the tort definition), and (f) if the matter is undecided by a court, state your predictions as to the outcome of the case, and (iii) include a link to the news article as part of your response.

Suggestion: see this week's assigned videos and Law 101 reading for different types of tort actions, and feel free to run a search for examples of recent lawsuits that involve a tort that is of particular interest to you.
