Welcome to CS 230: Operating Systems! One of the best ways to build community in an online course is to get to know your fellow classmates by sharing information about yourself in a discussion. Here, you have the opportunity to let your peers get to you know you while you learn more about them as well.

In your initial post for this discussion, first introduce yourself to your peers (where you're from, interests, family, and so on). Then, address the following questions:

• Which of the three most common operating systems (Linux, MacOS, and Windows) do you use most often, and what features of the OS do you find most useful? What features do you find least appealing?
• What other operating systems (smart phones, game consoles, real-time, embedded) have you used? What makes them different from traditional computer operating systems?

• What do you find interesting or relatable in your peers' posts?
• Have you experienced any successes and challenges with the operating systems you have used?
