Purpose: The purpose of the research study includes a reflection of the problem statement and identifies how the study will be accomplished and explains how the proposed study will contribute to the field. What is the purpose of your dissertation study? Beyond answering the specific research question, what is the broad purpose of the study? Who will benefit from your study (e.g., organization, community, industry, group of individuals)?
