DMAIC method which is Define, Measue, Analyze, Improve, Control is a well standardized and established system to improve process.
Define means to actually define the problem by situations arising out of it. It can be defined through unsuitable candidates, low productivity etc. It is to basically the knowing that there is a problem.
Measure means to measure the size and importance of problem. It can be measured through tools such as Pareto analysis where the frequency of this situation can be analyzed that in n number of candidates chosen, how much are the unsuitable ones.
Analyze The third stage is to analyze what are the main causes of these problems. This is done why the problem is arising, is it due to insufficient job description or failure to identify potential candidates etc.
Improve -This is the stage where the causes will be eliminated by improving the process. It is the introduction of new procedures such as new rounds of interview adding or having a probation period etc.
Control - Control is the last stage where all the new procedures should be controlled and should be in permissible limits so that they run as per planned.
