Do not use CAD.
Problem #1:
Given the fourbar linkage with lengths (inches) described below:
\table[[\table[[Link 1],[(Ground)]],Link 2,Link 3,Link 4],[4,1.5,4.25,3.5]]
Find the values and directions of 3&4 for 2=45 degrees, 2=1rads Your answers will be in degrees, & rad/s respectively.
Use the Graphical position analysis method and note the following:
Only consider the open circuit case.
Draw the linkage to scale using drafting tools (e.g. straight edge, compass, protractor) to perform your graphical analysis. You may also use 2D CAD software if preferred. (NOT USING TOOLS WILL RESULT IN 50% DEDUCTION OF POINTS)
Label all points and coordinate systems.
If using a scale please indicate what scale are you using.
Calculate the Grashof condition.
You may use either the Instant center method or Velocity polygon method however you must show all your work.
