In this essay | will be comparing the differences of children who do attend head start programs and those who don't, sharing the same vulnerable community. Head Start programs cater to low-income families and supports early education and self-sufficiency within families. The overall goal is to increase a family's success towards economic opportunity. Although children within the same community share similarities when reaching adolescence and adulthood, data shows that children who attend Head Start score higher in socio-emotional development, cognitive development, and literacy. This directly influences the likelihood of economic success in comparison to children of low-income families who don't receive the same support
