Do you agree with my classmate discussion question below.

1. Classmate Question: Dorothy was a farm girl that had a dog named Toto, her house got swamped by a tornado and when she woke up from her sleep she found herself in a complete different land, her and the dog found some men that informed her about the land being in the hands of the wicked witch of the east. What exactly surprised me was how the shows she was wearing had an impact to the story and the wicked witch realizing their secret power, tried to trip Dorothy so they would fall off of her feet, also I never really paid much attention to the shoes. I also found it strange that Scarecrow he complained about not having a brain but wound up as the most adept problem solver among the four travelers. Baum did succeed in the story because he removed all evil in it, children should remove all evil thoughts are learn to grow up with good and positive intentions towards themselves and that of others. There are a number of few symbols in the story like I mentioned before the shoes were a symbol of money silver , the yellow brick is a symbol of gold, the Munchkins were just poor people taking orders and that cyclone happened for it to bring change in Dorothy's life and Emerald City represents riches. There are more symbols to this novel I believe but I just picked up the ones that were notable to me

2. Classmate Question: Wow, I am not sure if anyone can relate, but when I watch a movie, I want to say that I try and focus on the film so that I do not miss anything. But it is not until I decide to watch it again, I say to myself, did I miss this the first time? When I read the story, I could not believe that her shoes were silver instead of Red. For as long as I can remember when I saw the movie, they were Red. Now, I am not saying that silver is not okay. The silver shoes represent an incredible story at the beginning, where you start with one color and end with another to bring life to a movie. So, I didn't expect Dorothy to run after Toto; in the film, I remember a strong tornado, if I recall, and the house was lifted from the ground and blew away. I honestly can say that he did. I say this because the story was written for children, with no evil in the story, Yes, there is the witch, but there were no signs of evil. I believe it had some symbolism to it. Dorothy is a lovely girl from a farm who doesn't like to mistreat anyone and gets upset when the witch scars the little people. The lion is cowardly, the Tinman wants a heart, and the scarecrow requires a brain. The lion wants to be brave; the Tinman wants a heart so that he can maybe love? And the scarecrow wants a brain so that he can think.
