Participatory monitoring is considered a vital approach in the decision-making process and implementing all the changes which include inventions and up-gradation through modern technology.

Initially, the participatory monitoring & evaluation technique is used to clarify the main idea and design of a project which also includes problems related to the implementation and the way through which the stakeholders are attracted towards the decision-making process.

Whereas, in the case of the consensus decision is a process in which every member of the team looks forward towards a decision until unless a situation is reached where a decision is taken to satisfy the needs of each member. The collective decision must need the cooperation and permission of each member.

Decision made through consensus is actually a calculated process because all members of a team take part in the decision-making procedure and such decision is considered final in which all team members are comfortable and satisfied. But it should be kept in mind that a consensus decision is based on the maximum voted of team members, it does not represent complete union over a certain decision.

It means only that decision is considered final that has a majority of voted and only such decisions lead towards the implementation process. Whenever consensus-based decisions are taken there are probably two or even more groups and only that decision is given preference which gets the maximum amount of vote.

The team will select a decision having a majority of votes. The consensus decision is a professional, cooperate oriented, respective, thought oriented and deliberate procedure.

For example:

We all are brought up in the culture of democracy and we select our leaders through the voting process. Even in the states of democracy, there is a group of people who are not happy with their lives and don't feel any change, so they forget about voting for anyone.

Whereas the majority of people will vote for managerial, they use their power to make a selection and to bring in change. Now, this situation leads to the creation of minority and majority. In most cases, minorities are unhappy and not satisfied with the output.

However, it is right that voting the majority brings disputed decisions to be taken in the minimized time. And there is no authentication that the decision taken is a wise or morally correct decision; the example of such a scenario is when colonial Americans reinforce the right to hold slaves. In most cases, the party with the majority doesn't want to listen regarding minority points of view because they can simply outvote them.
