Document : Cardiology Clinic Administration Organizational Chart
Document : Central Management Organizational Chart
For employees: position, salary, work schedule
For clinics: name, capacity inpatient clinics and working hours outpatient clinics
Exercise Points
The admission process for an inpatient clinic includes several phases. Create a UML state machine to model this admission process and specify the class to which this UML state machine corresponds.
Major Hint: All the information necessary to create the UML state machine is included in section "Admission Process to an Inpatient Clinic" above.

Exercises
Exercise Points
Develop four user stories written from the perspective of the general administrator of a clinic.
Exercise Points
Using the provided details, develop a UML class diagram domain model. You may use any diagramming tool or submit a handdrawn version if it's clear and legible.
Your model should include the following design patterns:
Playerrole pattern
Abstractionoccurrence pattern
General hierarchy pattern
Singleton pattern
Make sure to include logical instance attributes, such as:
For patients and employees: first name, last name, age, ID number Background
You are building a management system for the Ottawa Health Network Hospital. Your teammate conducted preliminary research and gathered several documents, including organizational charts and a list of clinics in the hospital. These documents may help in your project. It is up to you to decide on their relevance.
Overview
Ottawa Health Network Hospital
The Ottawa Health Network Hospital offers various patient care services through a range of clinics see Document below There are two types of clinics:
Inpatient clinics: Admit patients and have a specific capacity limit based on available resources.
Outpatient clinics: Serve patients by appointment, operate only on weekdays, and have defined working hours.
A patient may be associated with multiple outpatient clinics but only one inpatient clinic at a time. Patients can receive both inpatient and outpatient care simultaneously.
Care Providers
Each patient may have multiple doctors. However, only one doctor is assigned as the primary care provider for each inpatient. Inpatients are assigned nursing staff, while outpatient patients are not. Staff members doctors and nurses work exclusively in a single clinic.
Administrative Staff
Each clinic has its own administrative team, including clinical managers and general administrators. Clinical managers can supervise other managers or administrators, but general administrators cannot supervise others. Each administrative staff member reports to only one supervisor and is limited to working in a single clinic. General administrators are responsible for entering and updating patient information, including medical histories and treatment plans, within their clinic, scheduling appointments, checking bed availability in inpatient clinics, and overseeing the work schedules of clinic staff.
Admission Process to an Inpatient Clinic
When a patient requires admission to an inpatient clinic, the process starts with an initial Assessment phase, where the patient is evaluated by a doctor to confirm the need for admission. If admission is necessary, the clinic staff checks the Bed Availability. If a bed is available, the patient moves into the Admission phase, where formal admission paperwork is completed, and the patient is assigned a primary care provider doctor and nursing staff. Once admitted, the patient enters the In Treatment state, where they receive necessary medical care and are continuously monitored. If the patient's condition improves sufficiently, they may enter the Discharge Preparation state, where discharge paperwork and aftercare plans are arranged. The final stage is Discharged, where the patient officially leaves the inpatient clinic.
In some cases, if a patient's condition worsens while they are in treatment, they may temporarily return to the Assessment phase for a reevaluation of care needs. Patients who require transfer to another inpatient clinic due to changes in treatment needs or resource availability enter a Transfer Preparation state. After the transfer is arranged, they go through a similar admission process in the new clinic.
Central Management Team
The hospital's president oversees the central management team see Document below Vice presidents report to the president and, in turn, oversee central managers and regular administrators. Central managers can supervise other managers and administrators, while regular administrators do not have supervisory roles. The central management team is affiliated with the hospital as a whole, rather than with individual clinics.
Hint: There's no need for separate classes for president, vice president, and central manager. Treat them as managers wit
