Document Redesign Written Assignment Introduction: You have all looked at a document (flyer, letter, article, etc) that was not visually appealing. Maybe the font was difficult to read, or the page was crowded, or the text was not organized clearly. Regardless of the problem, poorly designed documents are problematic and unprofessional; they could cost you a promotion, job, customer, or sale. Goal: The goal for this assignment is for you to take the text of a car advertisement (included in the assignment folder) and redesign the advertisement to make it suitable to be read a one-page hard copy. The purpose of the text is to convince someone to buy the car, so you need to think about what you are going to say, how you are going to say it, and in what order. Details: . . You must change the order in which the material is presented, including both in paragraphs and sections; work on organizing the information strategically in order to sell the car. Eliminate redundancy Eliminate unneeded information Be consistent with capitalization and indentation Consider the ethical issues: there are some elements of the car that are not really desirable, but you can't eliminate them and still be ethical. But, you don't have to highlight it either. Use headings, indentation, bullets and highlighting to match with the content. You may use 2 visuals if you want to do so, but it is not required Your assignment should fit on one page Attach: your assignment as a pdf. Grading: this assignment is worth 30 points. See rubric following the assignment for grading details. It never gave me any trouble until recently, when the clutch started failing. The engine is in EXCELLENT shape, and never fails to start on the first try. It runs smoothly and does not burn or leak oil, does not rattle or ping, and does not smoke. When I was driving this back and forth to work, I was getting a good 35 MPG regularly. This is a GREAT vehicle to drive back and forth to work! There is a small dent, but it's not deep and there is no rust so it should be fairly easy to fix. I just have not gotten to it. The corner light is also cracked as a result, but it still functions completely. This is an Arizona car, and of course, it is driven in the Arizona sun. The result? Some of the paint has got that typical "sun faded" look to it I have spent some time sanding, buffing, and polishing the affected areas to clean up the paint in the spots, but I have not gotten it all cleared up yet. Maybe you can do better. The rest of the paint on the car looks GREAT. The stereo was stolen, but the thief luckily did not damage the car in the process of stealing it, so it should be an easy fix. I have already purchased a HONDA stereo that should fit this car, but I have not yet had the chance to install it. If you're handy, you should have no problem. When I turn the vehicle sharply, I notice the typical 'clacking' sound from the CV joints. It only occurs during a sharp turn, so it shouldn't be too bad. Otherwise, steering works great. The A/C blows COLD All the windows and windshields are chip and crack free The brakes work great The headlight and taillights work great The tires are almost NEW (see photo) The car gets 35 Miles Per Gallon! This vehicle is for sale as a LOCAL PICKUP ONLY. Because it does not shift easily into gear, I cannot drive it anywhere for you, and really, you should probably have it towed away, unless you feel adventurous and want to try driving it home. This Vehicle is sold AS-IS. Because it is 17 years old, there's obviously no warranty. I have been as accurate as I can be here, so hopefully there's no confusion as to the car's condition Payment is due within 10 days of sale.. NO EXCEPTIONS. Also, we require a $100 deposit within 72 hours of the close of this auction, through Paypal, preferably. This auction is to hold the vehicle for the remainder of the 10 days and is NON- REFUNDABLE. If you ultimately change your mind about purchasing this car, you will forfeit your deposit
