Does the explanation make sense to you? Why or why not? When my husband and I had our daughter it was a great time in our lives and I loved being with my child but after being home for 3 months I was ready to be back at work. Daycare was well within our budget but when we had our 2nd daughter the cost of daycare was more than I made. We decided that it would be more cost efficient if i stayed home with our kids. Weighing our income and costs of daycare it made it more cost efficient for one of us to stay home rather than one of us only working to pay daycare costs. As a mom of 5 that is going to nursing school and trying to work fulltime is very difficult. I have to work because like most people I have bills to pay and mouths to feed and all of the decisions I make affect my entire family. I work 3 days a week 12 hours a day so there is many opportunities for overtime plus my job offers bonuses for picking up shifts, but my kids also have sports and school and after school activities I would miss if I picked up extra hours. If I were to miss those activities and work instead that money could go to bills and food or paying off loans sooner but sometimes I chose to stay home, lose that extra income and be with my family instead
