- Download and analyze data. - Determine a plan for the actual simulation including: - How to forecast demand (see attached VoPPT for a quick review of forecasting methods), - When and how many machines to buy/sell, - Which contract do you want to get to, how will you decide when to change contracts, - Inventory calculations (EOQ and ROP) for continuous review inventory systems. Pre-plan should include your strategy for the game and the analysis your group did to arrive at that strategy. 4 pages max plus graphs etc. Once the simulation starts, your mini-group should maintain a journal of activities where you indicate which parts of your preplan strategy seem to be working, or perhaps more importantly, not working and what adjustments you had to make and for what reasons. Please make sure to indicate one or two things that your mini-group would do differently if you were given a do-over. The length should not exceed one page; a list of brief, itemized observations and takeaways is perfectly acceptable. MATERIALS MENU
