Each student is required to develop an individual Leadership Development Plan (LDP) reflecting the results and evaluation of the textbook content, lectures and activities completed during this course leading to a detailed SWOT (strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats) analysis. The LDP should clearly demonstrate a synthesis of relevant leadership theories (at least three, not all from the same chapter) explored in this class in the formulation of a personal action plan that includes specific development activities, necessary resources, and target completion date. The LDP should be no less than 5 pages in length, excluding the title page, table of contents and bibliography/references page (APA format).

Select a leadership role/position you want to pursue in your desired profession or industry. Example, Manager of Human Resource department, Real Estate Agent, or Business Owner of your online business (Page 2)

Include an overview of the position and explain in detail why you are interested in pursuing a career in this leadership role/position.

Based on the profession or industry you selected in step #1, select a recognized leader & outline their successful leadership skills and behavior in the position you desire to accomplish (Page 3)

Complete a SWOT analysis on yourself to describe your current leadership ability and to identify your future potential in accomplishing the leadership role you are desiring to achieve in step #1. (Page 4-5)

You are to outline ways to enhance your strengths, overcome weaknesses, pursue potential/opportunities, and mitigate risks/threats (SWOT analysis).

This action plan will be detailed, including specific action steps, necessary resources, and target completion dates to serve as milestones to measure improvement over the coming months and years to accomplish your goal of step #1. T
