ECE 105/ MATLAB Programming - Fall 2024
Final Project
The goal of this project is to apply MATLAB to solve a relevant engineering problem. You will develop
skills in programming and numerical analysis while gaining experience in modeling and simulating
engineering systems.
Project Guidelines:
Select an Engineering Problem:
-Choose a problem related to your field of study (e.g., structural analysis, fluid mechanics, control
systems, etc.). Some example problems include:
-Analyzing the deflection of a beam under load.
-Simulating fluid flow in a pipe system.
-Designing a simple control system using transfer functions.
-Conducting a thermal analysis of a heat exchanger.
Define the Problem: clearly state the problem you are addressing, including any assumptions
made and the objectives of your analysis. Use appropriate engineering terminology.
MATLAB Implementation: write a MATLAB program to solve the problem. Your code should be well-
organized, properly commented, and easy to follow. Include the following:
-Input parameters: define any necessary parameters (e.g., dimensions, material properties).
-Mathematical model: derive the equations governing the problem.
-Numerical solution: Implement a numerical method (e.g., finite difference, finite element,
etc.) to solve the equations.
Results:
Present your findings clearly. Include graphs and plots that illustrate the results (e.g., deflection vs.
position, velocity profiles, etc.).
Submission:
Submit your MATLAB code files and the project report as a single PDF document. Ensure that your
code runs without errors and is well-documented.
please provide graphs as said in the assignment, thanks.
