Picture yourself as a small business owner who has become deeply dissatisfied with the purpose and activities of your business. In a nutshell: you had enough.
You decide to sell your business and raise substantial proceeds from the transaction. You can live a happy life in retirement, but you know that, deep at heart, you are an energetic entrepreneur. After much pause and pondering, you notice that you are ready, willing and able to invest your financial resources. In so doing, you want to meet two fundamental criteria:
First, as any businessman, you want to make sure that your products or services will satisfy the demand of your potential customers.
Second, you want to define and develop your new enterprise in ways that help your customers connect with their deepest layers of humanity. Put simply, you will offer products or services that will facilitate them access the 'intelligence of their hearts', that is, induce them to "travel" to the Source layer (of the Iceberg Model) or the bottom of the U(Theory U).
Given the above, please address the following questions:
(a) What will be the goal/purpose of your new business? What products or services will it offer?
(b) What specific steps will you take to make sure that your new business satisfies the second criteria?
(c) You plan to hire five to ten people to sustain the first year of operations. Please state one or two key criteria that will rule you hiring policy. In selecting your criteria, please make sure that they apply to all-manager, accountant, custodian, etc.
