Reading through chapter 15, group cohesiveness is defined as the degree to which members are attracted to or loyal to their group or team. With that being said, managers shouldnt dismiss team cohesiveness totally and focus solely on goals. There has to be some sort of common ground between the two. Research shows that team cohesiveness should be kept at a moderate level because it helps drive the organizations competitive advantage. It also helps with the participation among the team members. While low or high group cohesiveness leads to consequences, moderate team cohesiveness leads group members to accomplish group and organizational goals
