The internet channel had allowed Dell to bring new products with a short lifespan into the market quickly. With the hybrid model, the retailers will require the products to be stocked in advance which at times may affect the products with short life cycles due to low sales in some periods. The company can solve this problem by selling the most products that have shorter life cycle through the direct channels and introducing smaller quantities to the retail channels.
