Below the clay layer is an impermeable rock layer as shown in Figure $1.$ The ground water table is at the top of the sand layer. The parameters for all the layers are given in the Figure $1.$ In order to obtain the strength parameters of the clay layer, three direct shear tests were conducted on clay sample, $10$ cm x $10$ cm x $3$ cm taken from point A shown in the figure. The results of the conducted tests are given in the table below. Using the test results $,$ determine strength parameters of the clay sample.
