Situation Overview:

The Information Technology Strategic Planning Committee researches and guides the commitment of enterprise resources for the acquisition, integration, maintenance, support, upgrade, and use of information technology to create and sustain competitive advantage over the next 5-10 years. You are to assume the role of a consultant responsible for enterprise-wide information management policies, procedures, and practices. You have been invited to be an internal resource for your chosen topic.

Report:

Refer to the suggested technology topics list or select one of your own. Find at least five (5) current articles (preferably from within the last year) from journals or other validated sources which provide information relating to your topic. Prepare a report which synthesizes the material and explains why it is an important technology in terms of enterprise-wide strategic decision making. Integrate strategic management issues discussed in this class in your analysis. You will need to explain technical detail so members with a variety of backgrounds can understand. Length ~ 2000- 2500 words.
