Within your tutorial groups form groups of $3-5$ students. Each group will prepare a poster on ONE of the following topics:

You are free to decide on what approach to take with the topic, but use these points as a guide:

Biodiversity offsets

What they are, where in the EIA process they fit in

Examples$/$case studies from different projects $-$ with some of your own analysis of their effectiveness

Pros and Cons of offsets, or any controversial aspects to do with offsets

Gender Impact Analysis

What gender is

What gender impact analysis, and where in the EIA process it fits in

Case studies from actual projects $-$ look up examples from the literature $($EIA reports or journal papers$).$ Try and use Pacific Island examples as much as possible

Also highlight some mitigation measures for gender impacts

Design:

Use Powerpoint to design an $A3$ size poster $($an example will be provided to you$).$ Posters should have a good combination of text to graphics. Go through all the information you have and decide what information is best presented visually, and what should be presented as text. Don't cram too much in$,$ stick with the main points, and leave enough space so that the overall effect is visually appealing.

References:

Keep in$-$text citations to a minimum $($they break up the text too much, not good for posters$).$ Use them for identifying the source of images, graphs, or specific statistics$/$facts in your text. Use the footnote style ${(}^1,{?}^2),$ rather than the author$-$date style. Have a References section on your poster, with the full list of your source material $($numbered$,$ since you are using footnote style for in$-$text citations$).$ Make sure they are consistently formatted using a recognized citation style such as APA.
