Air Sampling

$1.$ Assuming you get to the workplace at $5$am and you need to perform

personal air monitoring on employees that work $6$am $2$pm$.$ Provide a

detailed $($step by step$)$ process for performing air sampling on the

following contaminants right up to the time you collect and ship out

the samples to an AIHA accredited lab $($Hint: you may want to

consider parameters such as flow rate, total sampling time, cassette or

filter type, etc.$)$:

a$.$ Hexavalent chromium $($Cr VI$)$ sampling on a welder in a

fabrication shop welding on a piece of stainless steel material.

b$.$ A group of employees dipping galvanized metallic materials in a

large tank containing volatile organic compounds $($VOCs$).$

OR

$2.$ Using a step by step process $($i$.$e$.$ from setting up air sampling

equipment all the way to shipping samples to an AIHA accredited lab$),$

determine the air contaminants$($s$)$ that must be sampled and analyzed

when a group of employees break up and handle concrete for a period
