One of the famous companies in the Middle East is Ooredoo, Ooredoo plays the main role of the main telecommunication service provider in the our country Oman, and Middle east. Ooredoo started earlier in Qatar which then took over the Nawras company in Oman and now has become one of the leading telecommunication provider. In Ooredoo all process and services they provide to the consumer are automated, system-wise, they use a very large electronic system that documents the each process happens in the system, all process change and improvement happens under core system called ERP system. ERP information system The ERP system has multiple systems under one database such as the Finance system, humane resource system, Commercial system, Supply Chain, Project management, and the operating system) all these systems along with other integrated systems with the core system are all functioning and assisting the company and the customer to smooth use all services that shared by Ooredoo. In each of the mentioned modules above a system module and documentation that was drafted from the business owner/dept. that show how would the process should look like and the same has been translated into the ERP system. This system helps provide an efficient and smooth services to the customers, at the same time it insure that the company and its worker get all the required data and information. This system helps the company offer several services to the customer at the same time, Ooredoo offers post-paid, pre-paid, Data Only, Minutes Only, and other package The ERP information perspective is complex from other information systems since so many information system software are available on the market that are being used to manage business information at a poor level of accuracy, but in comparison ERP provides the most accurate information and also facilitates the enhancement of the marketing methods for the product and also provides the most accurate information. Task B: You have to use the same information system and business processes identified and used in assignment task B1 to solve the below sub tasks. 1. Prepare the Context diagram for the information system chosen in assignment1. (20 marks) The context diagram is expected to have: O The system (4 marks) O Minimum 4 External Entities (4*2 = 8 marks) O At least 8 input and output data flows (8 marks) 2. Prepare the Level O DFD (Data Flow Diagram) for the above context diagram showing all the business processes identified in assignment 1. (25 marks) The Level O DFD is expected to have: All the major business processes (at least 4 expected) o o All the External Entities O All the input and output data flows o Minimum 2 Data stores 3.
