Ethics You are a design engineer at an engineering company producing best-seller products (hacksaw Machine) shown in Table 1. You note that some of the local specifications to get the feature approved by the relevant departments e.g. SIRIM are not able to cater for the latest technology that you are putting into these products. Moreover, if you comply with international specifications, it could cost large amounts of money to your company. To sell this product, the country only requires meeting local specifications, however lately there have been a few serious incidents in other countries, which have been addressed appropriately by the international specifications.
