Provide two (2) examples of diagnostic questions to determine the extent to which a Year 5 child is or is not using multiplicative thinking at the appropriate year level and a further two (2) examples of diagnostic questions to determine the extent to which a Year 6 child is or is not using multiplicative thinking at the appropriate year level. Give a brief report for each question to explain what it reveals about multiplicative thinking Identify three excellent resource activities which can be useful when teaching place value in Year 2, Year 3 and Year 4 - one excellent resource activity per year.
