A research programme is looking to investigate a new treatment for heart failure patients. One possible indicator that is being investigated to quantify the success of the treatment is the left ventricular end systolic volume (LVESV)_ LVESV can be measured using magnetic resonance imaging (MRD or ultrasound imaging, and decreased LVESV can be a sign of improved heart function. Pre-treatment LVESV data (in mL) have been collected from 10 heart failure patients who underwent the new treatment. The LVESV values are contained below. Use MATLAB to perform the following tasks. 1 _ Compute the mean and standard error of the mean of the LVESV data. 2. Assuming that the distribution of mean values is normal, compute 95% and 99% confidence intervals of the mean LVESV_ Data were also collected from the same patients after treatment These data are contained below. A decrease in LVESV may be evidence of successful treatment.
