b) When the truss is under the maximum vertical load P obtained in part a), determine the
minimum diameters of pins at A,B,C, and D. Note that the failure shear stress is fail for
all pins.
Take L=0.9m,w=9mm,h=9mm.
Take T,fail=380MPa,C,fail=260MPa,fail=180MPa.
Use F.S.=2 for normal stress and F.S.=3 for shear stress.
