Final Project

Overview: For your final project, you will plan, research, and investigate a project related to public relations or advertising. You will then present your campaign in a report.

Here are some sample topics:

• Select a non-profit organization (such as the YMCA or the Metropark system) and develop a public relations campaign to promote the organization. You could prepare a variety of promotional materials, such as a PSA, a news release, a poster, and a website as part of your campaign.
• Prepare an advertising campaign for a hypothetical business. You could begin by inventing a business (for instance a new Vegan restaurant or an in-home computer repair service) and analyzing the market for your product or service. Then develop ads for print, radio, television, and/or the Internet.

These are just examples of topics you could choose for your final project. I encourage you to use your imagination in developing a topic that will be interesting and educational.
