He took his on appeal and the matter is scheduled in front of the trial court judge for his summary appeal hearing. Mr. Joe "Bagof" Doughnuts claims he was pulled over for running a stop sign. He told the officer he was never notified by Penn Dot of his alleged suspension, but the officer still gave him a citation. Joe says his former lawyer mentioned that Penn Dot must provide notice of his suspension before he can be convicted. Additionally, Joe doesn't understand how he can be sentenced to 6 months in jail for a suspended license violation which is a summary offense. Summary offenses in Pennsylvania usually result in the maximum of 90 days. The Attorney wants you to research the conviction and the sentencing issue
