Enginesarestoredin the old$-$enginestoreroom.Whenneeded,an engineis picked

up by an electrichoiston a monorail,transportedto the strippingbay,and unloaded

onto an enginestand.Therethe operatorstripsthe engine,putting the engineparts

into the degreasingbasket.The basketis transportedto the degreaser,loadedinto the

degreaser,degreased,and then unloadedfrom the degreaser.The basketwith de$-$

greasedenginepartsis thentransportedto the cleaningarea,wherethe partsare sim$-$

ply dumpedon the ground for drying. After severalminutesof drying, the partsare

lifted to the cleaningbenchesand cleaned.The cleanedpartsarecollectedin special

trays to await transport.The parts are loaded onto a trolley and transportedto the

inspectionstation.Theretheyare slid from the traysontothe inspectionbenches.
