Follow all Instructions \& Requirements carefully - Points off for each one not strictly followed:
Project Year 2 Steps:
Do Steps below on this Year 2 tab (apply GAAP to Year 2 events after considering everything in Yeat 1 tab)\& keep these Steps in Year 2 tab in a format similar to Year 1's. Do not remove the 3 current tabs \& do not create any new ones.
Project Tip: Use the CGS \& EI tab to keep track of changes in inventory units \& LIFO perpetual accounts.
To Start: Study Year 1\& copy Journal, GL \& 10-column to Year 2, then delete any Year 1 info n/a to Year 2.
Input beginning GL real account balances (from Yr 1 ATB-BS \& add RE)\& make sure TB (on 10-Column) balances.
Make sure that each GL end acct balance "flows" to TB by copying GL cell info to appropriate iTB account.
Use Excel properly: Copy amount from cell to cell or from Year 1 to Year 2(never type same amount twice).
For any calculation show it in a cell's formula using copied cell(s) whenever possible (see Year \(\frac{1}{\mid}\) cell formulas).
Steps 1 thru 5 in Year 2 tab:
1. Record JEs by Date with Ref. \# \& Explanation (as in Yr 1); abbreviate each Acet Type \& round all to nearest dollar.
Note: Record only JEs in Journal; all AJEs will be shown \& calculations described on 10-column Worksheet.
2. Post JE info to GL accounts (with Type \& in FS order: A, L, SE, R, E, D)\& use JE Ref. \# for each amount posted.
Tip: Post each JE after recording it \& check that TB balances (make sure each GL end acct balance "flows" to TB).
3. Complete 10-column Worksheet (see Video in Project Module), including all \(12/31\) AJEs, with cross-referenced dr's \& cr's \& footnoted explanation \& calculation below. Abbreviate account type for each new account in TB.
4. Prepare FS's \& FS Notes revising any relevant Kellogg's Note language for Fox (most Kellogg's Notes will not apply.) Prepare SCFs-Direct Method (up to 5 Points EC) for complete Operating Section-Indirect Method in FS Notes.
5. Prepare 12/31 closing entry (prepare only the single entry version in Year 1, not the 3-entry version in Year 1).
Make it all "Boss Friendly": Each print preview screen easily readable, with complete Headings for each Step.
(Note how each print preview screen for Year 1 is easily readable with Headings for each Accounting Cycle Step)
Check Common Student Errors at Project beginning \& end \& all Members should agree on submilting Project.
Each Group must do all Project Steps without help from any other student(s) in other Group, or from TA's, however if you get stuck, email (copying all Group Members) a conceptual Question (along with your proposed Answer) to marcocpa@temple.edu, entitling Email Subject Box "3512 Conceptual Project Q \& Proposed A".
(Note: Conceptual Q's gencrally do not require amounts \& never email entries or any part of your Year 2 Solutions.) Warning: Collusion with any Students outside your Group results in course failure for all Studenth involved. 61 Fox events for Year 2,2025: (Keep Yr 2 Instructions \& Events at top of this Tab, \& do not remove the 3
original Tabs. See Additional Instructions below \& Common Student Errors before preparing Year 2 entries).
